You can find more posts (and sometimes some double-ups.....) on http://www.landmarc.info, which was and is my main site, so you don't have to miss out on the latest info.

Donna Steinhorn, a well respected coach in the United States, sent me an email with her newsletter, and some of the content is worth publishing in my blog. Saves me a lot of writing; I totally agree with her words! Here it comes.

Are You Ready to Get What you want in 2007?

What did you accomplish this year? If you take the time to review and write it down, I suspect you’ll be surprised at how much more you have accomplished than you think. Look back at your planner, calendar, emails and journals to help you remember it all. Don’t limit yourself to achievements. Take a look at paradigm shifts, new healthy habits you sustained, skills learned, life-changing transitions, friendships, and lives you have touched. Did you pay down your debt or better yet, increase your savings? Learn to use all the features of your PDA? Perfect your speaking skills or improve your relationship with your mother-in-law? Write it all down...the big and the small.

What did you plan to do that didn’t get done? Don’t beat yourself up over goals and accomplishments NOT achieved. It’s likely that either the goal (or dare I say resolution) or intention you decided to accomplish either was more of something you thought you should do, or it didn’t have the right systems or foundation to succeed. If there are items on your list that you want to carry over into 2007, what will you do differently to ensure your success?

What challenges or obstacles did you face in 2006? How did you handle them? What would you do differently? What kind of support would have made a difference?

What opportunities did you have that you took? That you didn’t take? How will you ensure that you remain open to opportunities that come your way in 2007?

Last but certainly not least, what goals and intentions do you have for the coming year? But rather than just list these, also list the first five action items you’ll need to take for each of them. Is this the year you start your own business? Change jobs? Get married or improve your relationship? Maybe you want to upgrade your technology, get a Masters Degree, declutter your home or learn Spanish. Whatever the items on your list, if you don’t know the first steps towards accompishing your goals, the chances of success are diminished. Make sure that you have some fun goals on your list as well. You know what they say about all work and no play!

Go on, make something of 2007, instead of 2007 making something of you. Get the New Year's Resolution working, instead of giving it up three weeks into January.

Talk to you soon!
Marc

Science of Deliberate Creation

Hi,

Recently I have started listening to the latest audio of Esther & Jerry Hicks (You can know them from "The Secret"), called The Science of Deliberate Creation.

I must say, it is incredible material once again. Although the recordings date back to the mid-eighties of the last century, the subject is as fresh as ever.

The audios deal with the three major Laws that govern our earthly experience:

The Law of Attraction

The Law of Deliberate Creation

The Law of Allowing

These are the Laws I have been living my life through consciously for the last 10 years or so, and am still playing around with them to master them more completely.

If you are interested in learning more about these astoundingly simple and immensely powerful Laws, or in attracting a coach or mentor who works with them, give me a buzz or send me an email, and we'll have a chat about what application of these Laws can mean to your life, and how I can help you in becoming the conscious creator of your own life's experience!

Marc

Thank and Grow Rich

Hi all,

With a nice twist to Napoleon Hill's classic "Think and Grow Rich", Rebecca Fine from the Science of Getting Rich network recently sent me an article that I think deserves publication on my blog. The article covers the enormous power of Gratitude, which I am stressing to my clients nearly every time I see them. Just read the article; you will get the point.

THANK AND GROW RICH

(My apologies to the late Napoleon Hill, author of the classic, Think and Grow Rich.)

Gratitude is like a muscle. It takes regular exercise to strengthen it and make it strong. And if you find yourself in a situation where it SEEMS like there's nothing much to be grateful for, you'll find it of little avail to try to FORCE gratitude.

It's slippery that way -- kind of like trying to force yourself to sleep when you're wide awake.
In those times, the key is simply to relax and just let yourself be WILLING to be grateful. To just let yourself look around with "soft eyes." I heard it said once that there is no one who has so little that gratitude is impossible -- and there is no one who has so much that gratitude is inevitable.
It's a choice. In every moment. And if you have any difficulty at all with the word "gratitude," try substituting "appreciation." Sometimes it's easier to kind of ease into all this if it's new.
Once your gratitude muscle is toned up from regular use and repetition, you'll find things that were formerly difficult become effortless -- just as walking up four or five flights of stairs doesn't "wind" you when you're in shape.

Did you know that it's possible to establish a new habit with 21-28 consecutive days of practice? So since the habitual practice of gratitude WILL change for the better the way you look at virtually everything, why not get to work on it right now?
I promise you that THIS exercise is NOT boring, you don't need special equipment or clothing, and you don't have to worry about looking silly in front of strangers! ;-D

Here it is:
Every day for the next 21 days, express your gratitude and appreciation to one or more people -- via email, phone, notes or cards, or in person. It might be gratitude for something we think of as small and (seemingly) insignificant -- a kind word, a smile of encouragement. It might even be asking to speak to the supervisor of someone who gives you wonderful service in a shop or restaurant in order to offer praise and appreciation.

This last one is especially powerful. Samuel Goldwyn (one of the founders of Metro Goldwyn Mayer, the giant movie studio) once said, "When somebody does something good, applaud. You'll make two people happy." When you acknowledge and thank someone in a PUBLIC way, you get to spread the good feelings around even more widely!
You might also want to express gratitude for something that feels really "big" -- like finally saying thanks to that favorite teacher who made an impossible subject interesting or someone who believed in you when it seemed like no one else did. It might be saying thank you to God, however you conceive of your Higher Power.

Do this CONSCIOUSLY -- and with gusto, flair, and style!
Once, to thank a friend, I bought a poster
board and markers and made a big silly sign,
then took the subway all the way to the top of
Manhattan and hung it in tree in a tiny park.
I then called my friend and told her to look
out the window!
That was nearly 20 years ago and it still makes
us grin to think of it.

Take a few minutes to make a gratitude list -- everyone you can think of that you can thank in the next 21 days. Keep adding to it. This is not a place where seeing how little you can do to just "get by" makes any sense at all. This is a place where you want to see HOW MUCH you can do! Make a game of it. Have FUN.

If you want to give yourself (and the world) some extra voltage, write a note of appreciation to -- gasp! -- a political leader.

"Remember," Mr. Wattles tells us, "that they are all helping to arrange the lines of transmission along which your riches will come to you, and be grateful. This will bring you into harmonious relations with the good in everything, and the good in everything will move toward you."

For some of us right now, this may be a HUGE
challenge. Well, that's exactly the point! And
the results of building the gratitude habit
are huge, too. Look for the good. Seek the
common ground. Focus on what unites rather
than separates. "More life to all, and less to
none."

Now, while you're engaged in acknowledging and expressing your gratitude, notice how it makes you FEEL. (And how that great feeling lingers and makes EVERYTHING look better!)
One word of warning: Don't do it with the idea of the other person responding in kind. That may or may not happen. But this exercise isn't about that; it's about what feeling and expressing gratitude does for YOU.

I'll go first. Thank you for reading this! You have no idea how helpful it is to me personally to have you holding me accountable every month and helping me get better at "practicing what I preach."

I appreciate you! And you know, just in case this finds you having one of those "haywire" days, there are a LOT of other people who appreciate you, too, even though they may not have said so lately.

Believe it! You are a gift to the whole planet, and I am grateful.

Excellent stuff! Thanks, Rebecca!

Marc

101 Great Ways to Improve Your Life, coming soon

Hi,

The book I was talking about in my last post is coming along nicely. It will also be a discussion "board"; anything you want to discuss in relation to running your business is welcome. The more knowledge we share, the more valuable this blog will be.

I am a "big picture" thinker; I firmly believe in certain universal truths, and feel we need to lay a foundation in our mind before we can do some serious business.

THE law that governs everything is the Law of Attraction: we attract everything we experience in our lives through our thoughts and feelings.

As this law also governs you building your business, I think it is essential to know about it. Over time I will tell you my version. To kick you off immediately, here is a site I feel you MUST have a look at. Dr. Robert Anthony is one of my greater mentors, and his programs are priceless. For $9.95 you can get an immensely valuable piece of his information.

Needless to say more; go check the site out!!!
